//// The mom jacket goes casual

Ok, here’s the first round for the second hand jacket I found just a while ago. I really, really love the print and colors are great, too.
But let’s get honest. The jacket is sort of mom-jacket shape. I had an idea to alter it somehow, but I don’t want to do it in haste. So here I go with it, as it is. I decided rather work with the shape, this relaxed everyday outfit might be labeled as soccer-mom-on-acid –look, right…

I layered an old circle burnout T (Only, Vero Moda?) with thrifted, customized neon tank top, rolled up the jacket sleeves, pulled on some skintight dark denim and my old all white Chuck Taylors & added Vero Moda pom pom scarf. I really wish that I had one more layer to go with this, a slip with some lace on the hem. Anyhow, cheap, slightly trashy & comfortable.
I really don’t remember the origins of all my old T-shirts. I almost always remove the labels from them; the labels tend to turn to the right side on a thin fabric — and they itch.
Style blog… …mwhahahaa!

I have seen such jackets in UFF stores (my regular visited one is Hakaniemi store) and i also liked them and i thought they would be great with rough jeans but neon colours didnt really cross my mind to go with those…Only that those jackets tend to be so worn out and really smelly, i mean you cant wash them, right? did you wash yours? another problem is i really look like “borrowed from grandma” in that sort of jacket, so i dont think its a good thing for me, but on you it looks Oh so cool! or maybe i just have not found my perfect one yet…

Lisa: thanks! The burnout polka dot shirt is really old and I’m not all sure but probably it is from Only or Vero Moda.
I was really lucky with this jacket, it’s not too old and the material is cotton with some stretch — and totally washable!

i go to London day after tomorrow to do some serious shopping and i hope to find something decent finally. another problem with those 80s jackets is they are usually so damn big
