The door in my wardrobe*

I really like how this kitchy but lovely pair of boots transform a totally contemporary and simple outfit to very thematic, borderline costume like. The single component is a catalyst of strong interpretation — of course the jeans nod to the same direction but these days I guess that it is not the first association. I understand that many people try to avoid things like this happening. But I prefer my outfits to have some sort of background story or distinguishable feeling going on, don’t really care much if that’s stylish or not.

Jacket is from Annette Görtz and the possibility to unbutton it from unexpected places makes it an ideal partner to dishevelled items like my DIY frayed shirt. Worn over some H&M or Gina Tricot tunic, old Lee Norma jeans and those Bronx boots are old stuff likewise. Can’t really call them cowboy boots…

Is your DIY piece completely frayed, I mean all aroun? Looks fabulous.

As does you whole outfit, I guess it’s just that element of “a theme” that makes your looks so compelling.

    Alli, thank you!

sugar kane: yes, frayed all around. I left just the sleeves intact. Thanks! Again!
