Fakta: Thanks :)

Nina: I'm loving it, too! And it is nice to be "involved" to the design process - although in this case it was just picking the print and colors and selecting the shirt.

Anna: it is even better to have something that belonged to your loved ones. I think that I will gradually try to apply the idea of longevity to my whole wardrobe. Not that I have been too into short cycle clothing, ever.

Kruse: I think that here in Finland the situation is slightly different - i guess that 40-50 years ago some sort of fur was a necessity. That softens attitudes a bit, people know that there is lots of old stuff floating around and the luxury attribute of fur is not so strong.

Oh, it is so nice to hear that this blog encourages to experimentation! Dressing up is indeed fun, and even more so when taken not too seriously! It is so rewarding when the experiments turn to success!

sugar kane: this particular shade is one of my favorite colors, I really like how light sensitive it is - meaning that it shifts to blue, purple and pure gray depending on lighting.

Fur bed throws, pillow cases and rugs are absolutely luxurious, I think that it is a great idea to give a new life for too heavy (or partially worn) fur coats!

Your fur is a lovely colour! I agree with you on fur issues, and own some vintage fur, but confess I don't wear it that much - I'm actually thinking of turning a cpl of old lamb furs (including a peachy gold "krimi turkki") into bed-throws or something, maybe a rug... Lamb fur especially is darn heavy to wear in current climate.

I agree with you on the fur issue, but do you get nasty comments from people when you wear it? Or do they just think it is synthetic? And for a recently ill person you look very stylish!
Ever since I have been reading your blog I have become much more creative with my wardrobe and even taken up wearing hats again - not done that since I was a teenager! So thank you for ongoing inspiration. Get well sonn.

I agree with you on the fur -issue; I have my mom's old fur coat which was given to her by my dad when I was born. So as a nice memory, it also is the most ecological item in my wardrobe since it has survived over thirty years and still looks like brand new!
