//// I heart Norwegian Wood

Norwegian Wood tie dye mesh leggings are here — and I love them! If these were warm I would probably wear them every other day through the whole winter — but of course the mesh is not my primary choice for the northern weather shield… The color combination is perfect (cool, dull beige with black and some off white patches) — quite strong contrasts but the sheerness of the mesh makes the print very wearable indeed. Fit is excellent (I think that mesh looks best on legs when it is not skintight but drapes just a bit), and they are soft and stretchy. Thank you, Angie — I will definitely visit in your shop again!

I wore them first time very plainly with Mentor for Rützou wedges, sequin tube as a skirt and Babooshka Boutique T-shirt dress. To be honest the sequins don’t contribute much to this outfit, you can get only a glimpse of them now and then, but they allow me raise my hands above the head in this dress without showing my chocha… …I’m fine with short lengths as long as I can move relatively freely without flashing that stuff in public. Opaque leggings (these don’t actually count to this category) and stretchiness in the short skirts kind of help.

FIY I’m not really posing in the second pic — just tried to arrange my hair and then the damn self timer went off. I end up picking the image anyway, the movement makes it slightly unreal — and I’m not standing stiff like a stick in that one…

Oh, and I ordered a bunch of long and quite affordable zippers from here to make Outi’s fabulous Ann Demeulemeester inspired zipper scarf thingy, it will be my winter statement accessory. That blew my DIY stuff budget for two and a half months — fortunately I have a small stash of some supplies for must-do-some-DIY (muttered in monotonous voice) emergencies.

Just can’t wait to get my paws on that zipper pile!

the leggings are sublime and, au contraire, i think the sequins add quite a bit to the combo, lifting it from blah to creative – sudden glimpses of light make all the difference. (the blah referring to what i’d do with the leggings: combine them with a long black tee… boring old me.)

I heart your combo, and like stellagee think the flash of sequins really makes it work. The mesh looks fascinating!

You do these leggings incredible justice! As a designer the #1 most satisfying thing is seeing people wearing your designs, and when someone wears them so well it makes me extra happy. Thanks again!

Leggarit on älyttömän makeat: pakko saada vihdoin jotakin Norwegian Woodilta! Olen niitä jo niin monet kerrat Etsyssä ihaillut…

Nää kuvat on superkauniita! Ihana vastavaloasetelma.

Hvae you checked a website called Too Many Tights? James Lillis is the brain behind it, he has a label called Black Milk.
I am currently waiting for my 4th pair to arrive, the liquids, and after that, it will be the velvets.

    Stella… …I do that, too…

sugar kane: yes, the material contributes a lot to this design!

Angie, how heart warming that you visited — and even commented! Thanks a lot!

Braindance: I love James Lillis’ designs — and I’m green with envy for your last purchase. I just photographed an outfit — and the little background voice just kept nagging “wish I had the Liquids, wish I had the Liquids…”

The combination works, it’s interesting and beautiful! You can also replace the word combination with the word photo… You did well again. :)

It has become an addiction, everytime I get a pair, I say this is it now, save your money. And then James just makes another pair that I HAVE to have.

The Norwegian Wood ones look amazing, I have seen them on Queen Michelle before, what are they like to wear? Do they bag at all? They look like they are top quality…Another reason I love Black Milk so much is because the fit and cut of the fabric is seriously impressive for leggings.

Maybe I will give the wood’s a turn though. Going to check the esty site now.

Bugger, she has shut up shop to go to London, I hope it all works out for her, seems like she could be on the cusp of the big time :0)
