i came over from UnoCosa's fb post. genius combination. the cover-up with the underwear over is brilliant, unlike the combinations we often see that are just in our face.

the mix of neutrals and black is also very well done! awkward? not at all, just not plastic or stereotypical. i'll be stalking your posts my dear (:

Uno Cosa: thanks, you are such a darling! My pics could sure be better, the camera is ages old and I could arrange things so that I would not need to take photos through mirror.

I just left a comment on chictopia but i had to do it again ... the pictures really did justification in a bigger format - now i got to see all the details, proportions and contrast .... Kamicah, i don't know if you realized - i am totally loving your style - something i relate to completely: the sense of quirkiness that were not supposed to make sense yet it just did ... i called it the origin of the original, haha! btw: i shared the link to this look on UnoCosa's fan page :D

Lisa, are you sure that it would not go for xmasparty? These went to Hakaniemi post office, S-market and lunch with absolutely no trouble.

Michele, I try to be as open as possible for everything, but for some reason it is easiest for me with shapes, they engage me in very satisfying way. A new shape forces me to think in a new way like nothing else.

Ulrika, thanks! That bustier over a fitting t kind of surprised me too with it's workability, might even try to adopt the thing in wider use. I like lace, but I have too few ways to actually inject it to my outfits. Sweet romantic or dark gothic solutions just don't suit me (or I just haven't figured out the way to work around those).

Anna-Maria, thanks! The truth is that I have too few really distinct shoes... ...but this autumn I realized that during this march of clumpy shapes and heavy platforms this (actually quite basic) shape can be distinct. The only challenge is just to combine it so that the outfit looks fresh, not just dated.

May, you just gave me an idea to somehow put that "philosophy" to words, thanks!

sugar kane, just thanks!

Love love LOVE everyhting about it - nude mesh works so well with stripes, and the gray, and the structured jacket! Most of my good pointy shoes are long gone, but maybe I could "visit" my mum's shoe closet...

This outfit is really nicely put together! I love how you combined the corset with the stripe top, very fresh. :) All my pointy toed shoes are still hidden away somewhere in my closet, somehow I feel like it's too early to bring them back. Yours work nicely with this outfit though!:)
