//// Toads and shoes and…

They’re like toad (or two of them) that tried to turn prince (royal twins, maybe) — but did not quite make it. I’m not admitting kissing them, though…

These winklepickers are my pick from the Jimmy Choo for H&M collection… …and I really don’t know what else to say about them except I love them — despite them being the least wanted shoe from the collection at least here in Finland. They are the finest under 100 € pair of footwear I ever seen. With their sewn on leather soles, snakeskin pattern printed leather, studs and rhinestones they could well pass for shoe twice or thrice that price. They are quite over the top, but in a good way. I see them slipping to my outfits with ease.

I know that many people consider these H&M collaborations quite lame, but to be honest I don’t care. The selections in this country are so limited that there is no use to be too snobbish (like I could afford to be snobbish anyway).

Sorry, I got bit wild with my new camera :-D . I had an idea, even, behind this picture craze… …I tried to illustrate that although I do like pile stuff especially around my upper body, I try to do it so that the movement makes the layers to live.

The outfit consists of basics seen here before: Annette Görtz jacket, Complexgeometries top and H&M sequin leggings. To be honest I don’t really like the leggings. They are slightly large and the inner seams are bulging — plus the sequins feel scratchy against the skin even through the fabric. But I wanted to continue the bling theme above the ankle, so I let them do the job.

    Love the bling! And that complexgeometries dress looks so amazing on you every time you wear it. :)

    not sure if we’ve seen the back of this jacket before — it’s nice to see it. i love the ‘suited 2′ photo and the very last photo.

    the well-made shoes at a good price are a treasure.

    i am totally crazy about snake pattern and i love snake shoes too. i did not even dare go to H&M for JC collection, as i did not see anything interesting for myself in the preview. these shoes are great, totally “you”, as far as i can judge from this blog. as for sequins — i cant tolerate them, i scratched my face by trying a sequined dress on (for a corporate Xmas party) about 3 weeks ago and i looked like i was beaten up for 2 days. so i went for silk instead. totally can not get this obsession with sequins from top till toes, maybe there is smth wrong with me? but i cant get rid of the Xmas tree feeling…

    Steff, I agree, Complexgeometries stuff tend to look amazing — I simply love their jerseys. I hope to get another piece from their next summer collection.

    Michele, you are right… …with the setting with tripod it is so much easier to get back views from the outfits. I still need to find proper camera placements, backgrounds and angles, put I promise that the pictures will gradually improve.

    Lisa, I have something against sequined dresses, too. I get the Xmas tree or old American lady vibe easily with them. Especially with those that try to be somehow stylish… …maybe the right way would be to go totally overboard. But separates are easier, definitely. I would love these leggings if they would fit and my old sequined tank is one of my beloved separates. I would very much like to add a sequined jacket, preferably with loose “boyfriend” fit and matte sequins, but haven’t still found one to fit the description.

    Hei!

    The shoes are very you, and I love the sense of movement in the photos, it’s what I also aspire to capture in my blog photos…

    […] Right now these babies are responsible for my bone health. EBayed Doc Martens, Marc by Marc Jacobs ruched leather boots, old leather boots with rubber bands. For more formal outfits I can go for my brogues or Jimmy Choo for H&M toad shoes. […]
