The door in my wardrobe*

*the door not actually being there was a disappointment - but at least I was allowed to play with the clothes

These gray suede boots are my bargain found from Berlin. My old pair was in such a sad condition. These are bit flashier and higher, but they are still quite decent to walk in — and easy to wear up and down, property I give great value after the old, bit too casual pair. Not actually the best boot for winter… …but who cares, I have enough actual winter boots. Wearing them with tie-dye hosiery from Doré & Doré, old H&M silk cotton dress, old linen coat and DIY bib-necklace (and of course you can make it yourself).

Sometimes the inspiration for the outfit does not come from the actual clothing, but rather the setting… …I would love to sit on top of these giant cogwheels wearing these clothes… (image from Fanpop)

The weather starts to turn cold and it is snowing today. I guess that it is time to pack this wrinkly little coat to winter storage…

Upea asu. Varsinkin kaulakorun ja takin ottaisin omaan vaatekaappiini koska vaan, mutta koko kokonaisuus on ihan mielettömän tyylikäs.

I absolutely love the colour palette of this outfit. And it’s totally true that the inspiration for my own outfits sometimes comes from a setting! Not sure what I’d wear atop some cogwheels though…

Ihanan dumpatut värit koko asussa. Harmaa mokka näyttää ihanalta, ja noi kengät aika päteviltä yksilöiltä.

Ja minä rakastuin nyt noihin sukkiksiin!!!

Varpu, sinun täytyy vain tekaista koru itsellesi!

    Michele: thanks!

Steff… …haha… …did not think quite that literally, more like what kind of setting fot photography. The muted palette and distressed materials made me think factories and stuff — and this image is so iconic that it was one of the first to come in mind. (I have to say, too, that the fairy-tale-like wrong proportions thing gets always my interest… …giant cogwheels… …tiny oompa-loompas… …whatever :-D ).

Kengät on etenkin hintaisikseen erittäin pätevät! Minulla oli pitkään hakusessa juuri oikeannäköiset solmuvärjätyt sukkikset, nämä tekevät jalkoihin melkein epätodellisen näköiset ääriviivat.

SHoes + tights = Love. Colour of the dress is the colour i come back to always. Super feminine. And hair up makes any outfit looks like this  — extravagantly nonchalantly elegant. :)

Have you seen opera Rusalka? they have those bodysuits there which are identical to these tights. :)

    No I haven’t!

I’m the laziest person to go to theater and opera, that planning involved seems to be just too much for me, I can’t just walk in and enjoy…

    …shame on me!
