H&M actually does not seem to change the offering for quite long periods, especially compared to absolute leader in that sense - Zara, which changes stuff weekly and especially winter collections contain SO many nice things. GT is strange, i have love/hate relationship with it. Yes, i remember your ruffle top in powder pink and i would have bought it too, if i only saw it. i have a ruffle top in pale grey/green from H&M, which has been hanging there for the past month, i noticed and colour is so unflattering on a hanger. but it is amazing under a black blazer with skinny pants or under a long fine knit. here is the rose dress from GT - opinions?

Steff, thanks - haha, I haven't planned a tri to Canada, I've heard that it is freezing in there, too! I wish that I can do that, some day, though. I'm pretty sure that in many ways a Finn who is able to communicate in English would feel very "at home" in Canada.

Lisa... ...I'm pretty sure that it is not miserable, your clothes purchases sound always very interesting.

Personally I'm falling in love often especially with H&M pieces - so I have to have some tolerance to t that similarity issue. But for example that photographic print dress - I haven't seen it a single time on Helsinki streets on someone else. On blogger scene I remember seeing a bustier top made from the same fabric, maybe on lovely Susie Bubble? I guess that we tend to have so many clothes that it is not that probable to actually meet someone with the exactly same stuff on.

From GT I seldom buy anything else than hosiery, leggings and T-shirts. I guess (I might be wrong, though) that they might have longer runs for the products than H&M (at least compared to the trend and Divided Exclusive lines I tend to prefer). Bit on the other hand, I have one rather awesome ruffled cotton tank top with beautiful exposed contrasting zipper on back from GT - I thought that at least that one should be a darling of all style bloggers. Guess what. I've never seen it on on anyone else than me...

I have a blog but it is so miserable...:) i promise i will take a photo of my vest soon. maybe today? i will buzz you then. and i got another bargain from Gina Tricot - the graphical rose dress in shades of grey. the print is very very similar to the strapless one you have by H&M (the reason i started checking your blog). but this one is a short sleeved version. love it but i know all teens will have it soon. this is the sad part of buying stuff from H&M and GT... but so what, right?! :)))

Jalouse: the camera is Canon EOS 500d with 18-200 mm 3,5-5,6 IS lens. The lens is really good pick for this kind of use, the angle is wide enough for indoor use (even in crop body) but the long zoom makes it extremely versatile. The only negative is the size of the lens, I definitely want something lighter for traveling purposes. Rajala has actually a good price for this package. The remote is Hähnel.

Kurarin, Jolier would suit you very well. too!

ok, i wouldnt bother playing with this jolier thing but you seem to make a good sense of it, indeed. funny, i went into masculine direction on todays shopping trip too. :) got a waistcost, which is totally identical to the one by Helmut Lang (page 36 Olivia magazine for Jan 2010 and i did not see that magazine before i got that waistcoat :)). The waistcoat has 2 layears: outer layear is longer and sides are floating but the inner layer closes tightly on buttons. I so very much loved it and it is worth ever eur out of 36 that i paid for it. planning to combine it with white shirt too. the spirit if very similar to the one you are presenting in this post. love the pic where you sit on a chair.
