The door in my wardrobe*

//// Twist in my sobriety

Dammit! I fell to the temptation of designer collaboration and now I’m the owner of this citrus colored cardigan. So I broke my high street clothes shopping restriction. Was it worth it? Well, I think that I quite like the acidic colors of this little one, the quintessential Rykiel details (seams on the right side, using the purl side of the knit as RS, sturdier stockinette stitch on sleeves) and even the bows surprised me pleasantly. They are not sewn but you can tie them yourself — or leave untied which might be often my choice when wearing this. Even the cotton feels surprisingly nice to my hand. The only downside is that these colors work for my coloring only at summertime when I have some actual tone on my skin.

Sonia has also special place on my mind… …I made my first designer boutique purchase from her flagship store on Paris. I was after the Domino bag with silver studs, and it was not on display on the shop. The friendly staff served me extremely well and dug out one piece from stockroom. That pleasant experience slightly eased my reserved attitude towards fancy designer boutiques and after that I have stopped in in few just to feel the atmosphere and see the clothes. I’m still very hesitant with the ones with guards on door, though…

What next… …I think that I should continue with my plan. 30 euros for not-that-necessary thing is not the end of the world.

    No one can blame you, it is very cute. I’d say this can work in winter with light gray marl, for example, or like the pop-up layer. Don’t forget your wonderful BB pink blush and some eye liner! Melt that snow!

    Yes, I was thinking trying this on layering, it might work.

    And the snow is melting, now we are having one giant pit of slush here…

    Hey, isn’t that a reason to wear platforms?

    Haha, no way I can use them on snow — wet or dry!

    that was a brave move. i checked SR stuff in H&M yesterday, those knits with bows etc. and they somehow did not touch me even though i love bows and cute french style clothes. i dont know what was wrong with that cotton quality but seemed somewhat strange…i did not see this cardie there though. you know, i am going to Vienna after 2 weeks. can you recommend some shops from there?

    Definitely worth it! Those sherberty colors are perfect for the spring and summer and who doesn’t like Sonia? Super cute cardigan. I only wish I had an H&M near me.

    I still lust after a SR piece and am quite annoyed at mysef that I haven’t managed to check out the H&M collection. Great buy!

    I got a few items from the Rykiel collection. I got the scarfs with ruffle edges, both the yellow and the hot pink one. They will look good with grey and or black. I also got the black jumper with rhinestones and the white and pink striped jumper with bows at the sleeves. That one will look good with leather. The lovely pink and yellow cardigan was sold out in my size, but I got for my 4-year old daugther instead. It will look good on her with jeans. Well, this is the first shopping for me this year, so I deserved this. It has also served as a treat since I lost one size in weight since Christmas.

    Anyway, you deserve that cardigan.

    Lisa, unofrtunately I haven’t ever visited Vienna!

    I think that there is still quite a lot stuff left, I discussed today with a friend who bought her platforms and some crystallized stuff just yesterday.

    I liked the ruffled edge scarves, too!
