//// Reclaiming the pink

Pink is the color for little girls — but I have no memories being that much into it as a kid (green was my favorite color) so I abandoned it alltogether for many years without too much thought. But I have been reclaiming it back eventually. I like the dirty, pale shades of it, the kind of tone that occurs when a cheap tennis sock bleeds to white laundry. I like the powdery, peachy shades of it and surprisingly they complement my skin tone, even when I’m at my palest (like now). And I really like when it turns acidic, fluorescent, borderline aggressive… …like in this Costume National wool flannel skirt I saved from some random Yoox sale maybe few years ago. The color is definitely raspberry on acid…
I’m wearing it with H&M corset — which you can’t really see too well from these pics, but from up close it shows through the sheer tank top of same shade — and complements the lingerie vibes of my new H&M jacket perfectly. The wedges are from Ash. The lipstick is MAC Impassioned — equally acidic shade of reddish pink, but very wearable, especially when applied lightly, like a stain.

Todella hienostunut kokonaisuus! Ihan mahtava pinkin sävy tossa hameessa. Pinkki on mulle itselleni väri, jossa sävy on aivan erityisen kriittinen homma. Inhoan karamellisia ja imeliä ja possuisia sävyjä, mutta tuollaiset kirkkaat, melkein neon-sävyt on taas aivan mahtavia.
Ja takki on ihan mahtis! Onko tuo jotakin “erikoismallistoa”?

Takki löytyi sieltä H&M trend –puolelta — ja on kyllä yksityiskohtiensa puolesta aivan uskomattoman hieno henkkamaukkavaate. Kangaskin on kaunis, siinä on hentokuvioinen piquet-sidos.

Voi ei, olen itsekin silmäillyt tota takkia. H&M tekee jotain niin oikein. Ja mitä tulee pinkkiin, aivan ihana kokonaisuus, joihin noi kengät kuitenkin tuo särmää. Ei liikaa särmää, mutta… sopivasti.
