The door in my wardrobe*

*the door not actually being there was a disappointment - but at least I was allowed to play with the clothes

//// Soon wearing vintage…

Yesterday I found this pretty amazing silk dress from Fida Hämeentie. I fell for the delicious fabric covered buttons and whimsical butterfly print. There were couple of stains on it, but a gentle wash dissolved them almost entirely and I got it ironed back to shape. It has been locally made, the tag says Malli-Eeva — Model Eva — I would love to know the stories behind these vanished local “brands”. The hem is hand sewn with blind stitch and the overall work quality is very good in this — not to mention that silk has not been too common in this country, so I suspect that Malli-Eeva has been some sort of smallish seamstress boutique…

It looks like we are getting a sunny day for today, great!
