The trends don't seem to be changing much these days. I guess I like that because a lot of what hangs in my closet is still very valid, but it's a shame for those of us who eagerly look forward to some fall shopping as well.

I don't dislike the boredom so much at all, I'm almost glad I can use my closet to get that non-described look. As much as I like shopping, I'm not ready to reinvent myself with clothes this time, I think that this is the season of other means, hair, make up, small details, small subtle changes, things than don't come easy of the rack, but take some thought. I agree on camel color, it's not as universally classic and flattering as they they would like to us to believe. It's just flat.
And, yes, it's still summer, no wonder that our biological clock is not following the paste of industry. Too hot to even think of wool.

i am excited about the velvet and ethnic vibe. i didn't really pay attention to the shows so i don't know what is going on, but i am so not digging the florals and nudes that are going on now. so i can't wait to move on from that, but i do love the photos you came up with. i've been looking for a nice poncho as i lost mine that i got in mexico. oh, i was thinking of you last nite (hmmm....). i always watch foreign films at night and i saw a movie called 'everlasting moments' or something like that and i believe it is finnish. i was thinking, so that is what kamicha sounds like when she talks. it's so interesting. i love it.

I feel a bit bored by all the Spring/Summer stuff, so that's what makes me look forward to Autumn - it has to be more interesting (right, right?!) just because A/W things tend to have more dark colors and knits and so on. :P

I'm looking for a cape too. Wooly and black, drapey, sculptural. There seems to be lot of those things around, but something is a bit off with most of them... I'm gonna check out Ecuadorian hands. Been surfing through Etsy for the perfect design but so far come up with nothing. Many seem also to be 50% acrylic. >_<
