//// Odd couples

I know that many women are extremely exited about weddings and plan their own to the last detail. I tried to get to that mood, but it felt so unnatural. So ours was very small and intimate with minimal preparations — a short visit to magistrate with only witnesses and officials present, continued with a dinner in a beautiful restaurant just for closest family members.
Maybe my mind would have changed just if I had seen these cake toppers from Melabo.
Or then again, maybe not. For anniversary cake, perhaps (maybe a lamest excuse for eating a cake, but do I really need any excuse)? And then decorating the apartment, happily ever after?

our wedding was extremely simple. on the beach with 4 friends. no family was invited. and just that stressed me out, i couldn’t imagine a big wedding. ugh. those are cute cake toppers though!

The wedding does not even need to be small or simple and you can still avoid all that hassle. I mean, cake topping? Why? Or choosing kazillion flowers to the table, or obsessing about menu? I do not understand the hassle either but I love throwing a good big party. So we took a wonderful, very old, rustic place that needed no extra decoration and that we knew made good food, took a ready package with all food and the cake included — no, we did not even think about sampling the cake, that sounds absurd…and then we invited 100+ people and ordered fireworks. It was awesome, place was brilliant and we did not sweat over any arrangements.
So no, those toppers are not my cup of tea either, but it is just because I dont generally get them
