////// The door in my wardrobe*

// Far fetched

I do appreciate comfort in clothing… …so no wonder I’m always looking for labels doing interesting things with jersey. Well, the Internet makes this planet really small — and lately I have been browsing a lot of two Philippinian lookbooks. Paradigm Shift is a new endeavor of style bloggers Karl Leuterio and Mike Magallanes — the beautifully cut shirts shine in their first, compact collection. I think I need the black and white one…

The other one is Proudrace. Actually Rik and Pat sent me an email about their winter collection. The relatively basic cuts are enlivened with sheer panels and subtle proportion plays. Somehow even the reds look very wearable to me — and I guess that I have about zero red clothes in my wardrobe… What both of these labels share (in addition to some Scandinavian love) is delightfully androgynous aesthetic, with utilitarian and soft futuristic feel rather than “gender play” often associated to androgynous styles. // Through my fingers

Posted on | September 26, 2010 | 2 Comments

I’m knitting again! Own patterns, clothes I would like to wear. Something warm, soft, fuzzy but lightweight. Feels really good!

This week I was bit busy with one personal style related mini project, will get back to that sooner or later. But my life starts to settle down with the new, much more physically active schedule — and I have to say that I’m enjoying it! I have figured out how to live with my chronic condition and the added activity, I even have some hopes that I’m able to gradually improve my condition. Also I’m hopeful that I’m able to get back more active blogging schedule after next week.

// Autumn silk

Posted on | September 19, 2010 | 2 Comments

I’m piling on some giant t:s and knits, pretending that there is no need for a coat yet. I know that I have to give up soon. But while waiting that happen…

Gray tank AA, yellow one and the giant t from Weekday, DIY cashmere knit thingy, ancient H&M silk skirt, a pair of nameless mohair mix socks and Topshop wedges. I did not catcht the flu.

// White pleat, black stripe

Posted on | September 8, 2010 | 6 Comments

Although there were rack fulls of this fifteen € sweater in H&M about month ago and probably about everyone in Scandinavia will eventually have one — I had to get it. I’ve had exactly similarly cut sweater (boxy, dropped sleeve, waterfall neck, draping) maybe in the beginning of nineties — and I wore it to bits. Plus I love the combination of blushy color and black stripes. Now if I could only get similar in tight woven lightweight cashmere…

This high street galore is just something I wore to lunch on my neighborhood cafe. From under the giant sweater you can see a glimpse of Lindex pleated skirt. Tights are probably from H&M (I love the texture with micro fishnet) and the boots a bargainous find from Warsaw. I threw over an old second hand Helmut Lang parka to elevate the much high streetness a bit… …I guess that I have never photographed that one here but it just did not cross my mind.

// What are you talking about, HAL?

Posted on | September 4, 2010 | 3 Comments

Ah, I just got my own little piece of spacewear… …not quite Balenciaga — but a rather fetching vintage jacket. Soft, pink leather strips are meticulously sewn on top of skin colored mesh. The plastic zipper felt just a bit off at first — but now when I have fitted this little gem on few times I see how it fits to the picture. Minna spotted this little gem from Kanuuna — and said that it looks so much like me that she handed it directly to me. Damn she was right!

Practically Kanuuna is a flea market — but permanent selling areas of at least two established vintage boutiques really make it worth visiting.

My self maintenance level has dropped to unmeasurable with this new, physically active lifestyle… …I’m walking around with damp hair twisted to a knot, with minimal makeup — thus these are not decent outfit pictures. I have also neglected my normal blog routine so much… …yes, I’m reading all the stuff I have used to — but my commenting activity certainly has ceased and I’m not scouring for news with the vigor I used to. But I don’t want to complain, actually I feel really good: the autumn flu has not caught me, I sleep better than I have in long time… …bad news is that my calendar screwed up at least one of my fashion show events and I missed it…

Awesome pullover and leggings from Australian label TV — and I really dig the way they are styled with their perforated florals and other borderline romantic stuff. Via lovely Amélie Boutique.
