I was contacted a while ago by Janet Kim from Graey in the comment section. Se was previously unknown name for me, but a quick investigation revealed that she has interesting background; she has previously worked for Dior and Proenza Schouler.
It seems to me that her label is quite small and works without big bucks behind supporting the production. That leads to certain pared-downness — but this is very familiar to me, almost all interesting young Finnish designers have the similar starting point. What really delights me in these pieces is her way to combine sheer and opaque to feminine but very clean lined pieces, definitely the kind of stuff I would wear.
The main inspiration behind the spring / summer 2010 collection has been a trip Janet took to the Greek islands. The collection is based on the idea of a girl on vacation, with limited room in her suitcase — a girl on the go. The separates and the tank dress were designed with the intent that they could be pulled over a swimsuit after a day at the beach, with a couple of more formal pieces for a night out on the town.
I love the practical aspect on the background story — that leads to a collection of summer wardrobe basics combining silk, jersey and some mesh — and the lightness of the garments makes them also perfect candidates for layering.

Oh, I want to add couple of neat basics from her shop and a dress from AW collection. I really like the paneling and the color combination.
