// Marimekko spring — I love it!

For my delight our national pride in the field of fashion and design — Marimekko — seems to improve all the time. The great thing is that they employ young designers to freshen up both their print design and clothing lines. Right now I’m extremely happy about the following things.
Rinne & Niinikoski has designed some great clothing for next spring! See these beautifully constructed black and white numbers, can I has one?

Even the striped designs are quite fetching:

Samu-Jussi Koski does good job this spring especially with oversized jackets, t-shirts and knits — and adapting the classic “Unikko” print to very wearable chiffon dress:

Another thing is that — TADAA — Julia “Finsk” Lundsten has apparently designed some shoes for Marimekko. Judging from the images they seem to be slightly toned down in terms of height and shape from the most courageous Lundsten designs, but those sandals with ruffle detailing on front look interesting enough. Unfortunately I did not find a detail image of those, but here’s another pair for a taste:

For the first time I noticed to be interested in Marimekko bags, too. I mean their canvas bags are perfectly practical and well designed, you can definitely face a bunch of Finnish architects or designers sporting one — but they don’t actually create fashion waves…
This printed clutch would be a fabulous addition to many outfits:

Just cant pick the color…
All images from Marimekko, thanks for Claudia and Petra for making me aware of these good spring news!
