// Selling the killer wedges

Ok… …I have a little story to tell… …this morning I packed my stuff, wore some spring appropriate clothing and took out to horrible weather (heavy rain with occasional wet snow!!!). I was about to board to Stockholm for 2 day trip, involving some work and enough free time to get know Stockholm second hand stores bit better. I pushed through the miserable weather towards the bus stop with handbag and laptop, an umbrella on my hand, wearing my sweet Ash platforms (seen for example in the previous post). I bought them last summer and so far have worn them inside only.

I can’t really say that it surprised me that rigid sole platforms can be very walkable in smooth surfaces but become life threatening on uneven planes… …but I did not give much thought for that when approaching Hakaniemi market square, covered with old rectangular cobblestones about the size of my foot sole…

Hmm, there is not that much exitement in this story, haha! I fell miserably. I strained my outer calf muscle severely and almost tore my LCL ligament and got some minor bruises (fortunately I had my unstretchy heavyweight Lee jeans on, they protected my skin really well). The platforms — unharmed.

So, after this major selling speech — if you are interested in these sweet and invincible little killers in delicious tan leather (size 39, true to size), send me an e-mail (address on the upper right corner). About the price… …I was thinking about 90 eur + postage. And please wear them on unchallenging territory, only!

Will update this post with pics of the shoes in their current condition soon. Ok, here are the pictures. There is a very small scratch on the front of the right shoe (the thin darker leather layer), you can see it on the first and the last picture.

About my Stockholm trip… …I realized pretty quickly that my limbs were still one piece — although hurting like hell, so I changed to my ballet flats on site and kept going. But I abandoned the vintage boutique tour this time, my shopping is limited to the surroundings of my hotel (which is fortunately very central — and I’m not speaking about shopping here but just getting around with my injured limb). So probably nothing too interesting material for blog coming up in the next couple of days.
