// That special shade of blue
Posted on | March 23, 2011 | No Comments

I think that my sense of romantic goes very well in line with Barbara Munsel’s. Her designs are very, very delicate but somehow never too sweet. The frills are arranged haphazardly. The shapes are simple. The colors are amazing from delightful neutrals to that special fairy godmother blue. And the prints… …often the perfect dissonant note, aggressive colors and / or black and white prints with slightly scientific feel. How perfect would that asymmetric tulle skirt be for next summer?
I know that some day I will see these in real life — and like them even more. I just noticed that they are available at Designer Market — what a great site for Belgian and Netherlandic indie fashion shopping!

// Second hand plan
Posted on | January 28, 2010 | 2 Comments
One thing I promised to do is to plan my second hand purchases. I prefer all sorts of full crammed murky charity shops to actual vintage shops… …and without a decent plan there is always a danger to end up getting out with piles of crap. Cheap, but still crap.
And then there is Etsy, my favorite online resource for second hand clothing.
These garments I could use right now.

Neatly faded, oversized denim shirt. Men’s maybe. Perhaps with subtle cowboy-esque details to separate it from all those generic ones. Would not mind few real tears & stains. Awesome jean pocket shirt from Vintagepimp.

Prints. In skirts, shirts, scarves or dresses. Natural fibers. Vintage fifties silk dress from Catseye Vintage, unfortunately too small for me.

Soft loose leather pants, black or brown. High waisted leather pants in Mad Max style from MadGirlVintage.

Metallic leather. Bronze leather skirt from Erstwhilevintage.

Eighties silk blouses and boxy tops. Bright colors would be rad! And pastels. Orange silk blouse from Vonlenska Vintage (love her shop).

// Bad habits

Haha, I should totally stop browsing online sales, NOW. But plz, friends, give a good home for this Gestuz silk jumpsuit. It is totally worth that £69.00 that they are asking for it at Asos outlet.

// The end — and then some!
Posted on | December 1, 2009 | 6 Comments
My fellow blogger, Steff seems to be much better aware what happens here in Finland!
Anyway, End opened a great little web shop with worldwide shipping, you can get for example beautiful Kaksi-Två leggings, their genious bags and MMM designs there, including these fab pants!

These both leggings are from Kaksi-Två — and available from End.

And Lumi Accessories has now a brand new web shop, they sell the McHann line there too. Worldwide shipping, of course — and it is free if you spend over 200 €.
This December is good indeed for Finnish fashion fans!

// Shoe steals from Yoox.com
Posted on | July 30, 2009 | 1 Comment
The girl should always save some dough for Yoox.com final sales. Well I did not. But here’s few of my favorites, most of them from the low end of price scale, picked the autumn season in mind.
- Cuoieiria 39€
- Fausta Moretti 47€
- Bruno Premi 49€
- Diesel 55€
- Pierre Darre 59€
- Pedro Garcia 59€
- All Black 59€
- La Sofitta de Gilda 65€
- Diesel 70€
- GIanna Meliani 79€
- Marc by Marc Jacobs 79€
- Marios Schwab 89€
- Chloe 215€
If I could pick three pairs out of these, it would be the gray suede sandals from Bruno Premi (brilliant pair at this price), those weird futuristic-romantic peeptoes from All Black and *sigh* those great Chloé platforms with neat metal inset in heels.
