Ok, it was my favorite color when I was a kid — and still like it. These Reed Evins tie dyed flats would be fab. From Oak.

// Bootie beauties (and the sidekick)
Posted on | November 28, 2009 | No Comments

I have promised myself to step out the black shoe rut. And to be honest, maroon and purple options start to look very good to my eye. These booties are from Yoox, by Dsquared2 and Diesel. Either ones would do. Or both of them!

Velvet looks so sumptuous right now! I could accommodate my toes to these Castañer wedges for the holiday season.
All images from Yoox.

I think that I mentioned about my fascination for disc jewelry. It was by no means a surprise that I instantly fell in love with the current featured seller, Meetail’s designs in Etsy. She does beautiful, timeless pieces from oxidized metals, the designs are a beautiful combination of delicate and bold, futuristic and worn.
I’m also warming up to stack rings, especially when the stack is huge. Unfortunately my fingers are really difficult for rings. I have minuscule finger joints, so it needs to be the flesh of the finger that keeps the ring in place. That is not very comfortable…

// Damn you, Topshop
Posted on | October 7, 2009 | 1 Comment
I kind of trusted that the Cristopher Kane collection for Topshop is sold out instantly — and my credit is safe. But whatta hell, the supply seems to be endless. I’m not after the famous crocodile print — I like it, but I think that it is bit too recognizable. I really like all the mirror embellished mesh numbers — but to be honest I feel slightly turned off by the fact that they all are dry clean only. Oh yes, I would probably end up hand washing them and suffer the consequences. But on the other hand… …the more I stare the neon yellow bandage dress, the more it looks like the most perfect layering piece ever. And I really like the shoes, too. Plz someone, hide my credit card!

// I <3 Norwegian Wood Leggings

Good leggings are not easy to come by, but Angie from iheartnorwegianwood sure does great job with legwear. It looks like there are some brilliant new pairs in her Etsy shop.

Those dove gray lace ones and tie dyed mesh pair really make my heart flutter. And the beige tie dye is delightfully subtle. Could not say no to a flowered black pair, either.

// Complexgeometries F/W 09 favs

These two items from Complexgeometries fall collection are pure genious. The cell sweater can be worn both sides up (see how different the detail in the sleeves looks) and it works also beautifully as an oversized shrug. The wool cape would be an excellent garment for the transition seasons, the generous shape and sleevelessness would make it ideal for layering.

// Brilliant prints

This is no news by any means but I just found these T-shirts via I See Janemary. The prints are from illustrator Beatrice Boyle. Beautiful! I’ll bet that the large size of the print makes it almost abstract when the T is actually worn.

Available online at Browns.

// Vila sequin jacket
Posted on | September 17, 2009 | 4 Comments
I have a vague memory that some of my Finnish fellow bloggers have yarned for the Vila muted silver sequin jacket — which has not been stocked widely in Finnish stores. I just noticed that it’s available from Asos.

Personally I’m abandoning my sequin dreams for a while. I remembered that I actually have old white sequin shift dress in my wardrobe. Neatly pouched to not tangle to all other garments. And almost forgotten…
